The report of the audit team constituted by the Supreme Court on the consumption of oxygen in the second wave of Corona has heated up politics. The panel has said in its report that between April 25 and May 10, the Delhi government exaggerated the need for oxygen in Delhi hospitals. Due to which there was a shortage of oxygen in 12 states of the country. Not only this, the audit also found negative consumption in some hospitals in Delhi.
The BJP accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of criminal negligence citing this report. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that guess the seriousness of the crime. This is a heinous crime of Kejriwal. At the same time, Kejriwal has played the emotional card after being badly hit by the report.
Kejriwal has tweeted and said- 'My crime is that I fought for the breath of my 2 crore people. Targeting the BJP, Kejriwal said that when you were holding an election rally, I was arranging oxygen throughout the night. Do not call those who have lost loved ones as liars.
The Supreme Court had formed the Oxygen Audit Committee, whose report created a ruckus
In order to improve the oxygen delivery system in the country, the Supreme Court had constituted a 12-member special audit panel on 8 May. The panel, in a 126-page interim report, told them that they were told by the Petroleum and Oxygen Safety Organization that Delhi had surplus oxygen between April 25 and May 10. Delhi needed 289 metric tonnes of oxygen, but it gave 1140 metric tonnes of oxygen, which was 4 times more.
