Jharkhand got 12 lakh less vaccines: neighboring state Chhattisgarh's population is 83 lakh less than us, but got 16 lakh more vaccines

 

In Jharkhand, there is a shortage of vaccine in increasing the speed of vaccination. On an average, only 1.10 lakh people are being vaccinated in the state every day, while there is a capacity to vaccinate three lakh people per day. The state government has said that the state has received less than 12 lakh vaccines according to the population. The share of Jharkhand in terms of population in the country is 40th.

So far 32 crore vaccines have been administered in the country. In such a situation, Jharkhand should have got 80 lakh vaccines. But till now Jharkhand has received only 68.82 lakh vaccines from the central government. These things were said by the State Nodal Officer (IEC) of the Health Department, Siddharth Tripathi on Monday. He told that despite the lack of vaccine, the campaign will not be allowed to slow down. The speed of vaccination will be increased in the state. Here, our neighboring state of Chhattisgarh has a population of 83 lakh less than us, but it has 16 lakh more vaccines. The population of Telangana is exactly equal to ours, yet it has got 32 lakh more vaccines than Jharkhand.

Siddharth Tripathi said that on Monday, there is a stock of 2.66 lakh vaccines in the state (it is reported to have received 82 thousand doses from Monday) which will end in a day or two. He said that the health department will not let the campaign go down despite the lack of a vaccine. The department also says that adequate vaccines are being provided to the states having population of Jharkhand. There, three lakh vaccines are being given in a day, whereas in Jharkhand only one lakh people are getting the vaccine in a day.

Effect - only 2.60% of the population has received the second dose and 16% have received the first dose.

Due to lack of vaccine, only 16.24% of the population in Jharkhand has received the first dose. While only 2.60% of the population has received both doses. According to the state government, 66,73,782 vaccines have been administered in Jharkhand till last Sunday. In this 56,45,559 people got the first dose and 1028223 people got the second dose.

Now instead of 33 lakhs, there is information about getting 9 lakh doses.

The central government has told that by July 15, Jharkhand will get 957790 doses. On July 2, 6 lakh Covishield, on July 9, one lakh Covaccine and on July 15, 257790 Covishield will get a dose. Whereas Jharkhand has already been told to get 33 lakh doses in July.
