Refill Booking Portability: In Ranchi, 42 percent people changed distributors for gas cylinders, started on trial basis in 5 cities of the country

 

Ranchi has won the portability service started by the Indian Oil Company. 42 percent consumers of Ranchi have changed distributors. The government has started this new service for the consumers using LPG gas cylinder. Now consumers can decide for themselves from which distributor they have to take gas cylinders.

This facility is named Refill Booking Portability. It has been started as a pilot project in selected cities of the country. Five cities have been selected in the first phase, which include Ranchi, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurgaon and Pune. Of these, Gurgaon is second with 26 percent, Pune third with 14 percent, Coimbatore fourth with 13 percent and Chandigarh fifth.

List of distributors will be visible at the time of booking

Till now there was no option to change distributor. With the implementation of this scheme in the capital, now when consumers book a new cylinder, they will also have the option of choosing a distributor. While booking the cylinder, the list of all the distributors in their area will be visible.

Automatic connection will be transferred to the new distributor on the fourth day

If the existing distributor does not transfer your online application to the new distributor within three days, then the connection will be transferred automatically on the fourth day. The consumer will not need to submit the cylinder and other documents.

Know... the complete process of choosing a distributor

• Login to MyLPG website

• After login, the rating will be given in front of the distributor.

• You will be able to choose the distributor according to the rating.

• A form will be sent to you for confirmation by mail.

• You are changing distributor This information will be sent to your current distributor.

• The existing distributor may request you to not change the distributor over phone within three days. It will depend on you.

The entire process is available free of cost on the web portal and mobile app.

Oil companies are also providing the facility of online transfer of LPG connection through web portal and mobile app free of cost. Consumers can select the distributor of the Oil Marketing Company from the list of distributors in their area using the registered login.

Indane distributors of Ranchi have been warned according to the pin code to improve their service otherwise their customers will get scattered and move to other distributors.
