After shifting the Mithapur bus stand to the newly constructed Patliputra Bus Terminal, a total of 1320 buses from different districts of Bihar were operated from Patliputra Bus Terminal on Saturday. Under this, 737 buses reached the terminal and 583 buses left for their destination. 52 buses of Bihar State Road Transport Corporation also operated from the newly constructed terminal.

According to the administration, Mithapur Bus Stand is spread over 8 acres while ISBT is spread over 25 acres in which necessary facilities have been provided by constructing building in 10 acres. There is a parking arrangement for buses in about 11 acres. Many times more facilities are available at Patliputra Bus Terminal than at Mithapur Bus Stand. 50 toilets, 14 mobile toilets, drinking water facility 12, passenger help desk facility 2, security personnel 60, sweeper 42, management branch 65, CCTV 10 have been arranged at the terminal. But the distance that has increased from these facilities is taking a toll on the people.

How to curb the arbitrariness of auto drivers

Adequate number of auto and city bus arrangements are being claimed at the terminal for smooth and smooth movement of passengers. But even after this the auto drivers are arbitrarily with the passengers. This creates a lot of trouble for the passengers in commuting.
