Dalmia Cement to set up a plant worth Rs 577 crore in Bokaro, Jharkhand
AKB NEWS:- The Jharkhand government on Friday said that Dalmia Cement will set up a 2 million tonne capacity plant at Bokaro in Jharkhand at an estimated cost of Rs 577 crore.
A statement from the state government said that the Jharkhand government has ensured allotment of land for the cement plant.
The cement manufacturer had made a commitment in this regard during the Jharkhand Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (JIIPP) 2021 in New Delhi on August 28 by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
"The Government of Jharkhand has provided 16 acres of land for the project at Ballydih, Bokaro to the company within the time limit as per the MoU and the lease deed has been executed. The company will invest Rs 577 crore in the construction of the plant," the statement said. Having said.
Work on the project will begin in November and the 2 million tonne plant is set to be completed in a year, the statement said.
To attract large investments and make Jharkhand a major hub for manufacturing of electric vehicles, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had earlier offered discounts and facilities to mega industrial players including Tata, Vedanta, SAIL, NTPC and Maruti Suzuki .
