It will be more convenient to go from North Bihar to Jharkhand cities by bus. Also, the fare will be less as compared to private operators. Buses are to be operated from eight districts of North Bihar to Jharkhand under the agreement. About 200 routes of the state will be connected to Jharkhand by bus route. Seven districts of North Bihar are also included in this. Apart from Muzaffarpur, operations will start for Jharkhand from Motihari, Raxaul, Bettiah, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur and Madhubani. It will be approved in the meeting of the State Transport Authority to be held in Patna on October 19.
The letter has been issued by the Deputy Transport Commissioner of the Office of the State Transport Commissioner of the Transport Department. It is said that buses will run from Muzaffarpur to Ranchi, Tata, Dhanbad and Bokaro. However, more than two dozen private buses are already operating on these routes. But, the fare of these buses will be 10-25 per cent less than that of private operators. The time-table for the buses will also be decided after the meeting. How many buses will be operated from one district on one route, it will also be decided after the meeting.
- Buses will also open from Bettiah-Motihari
Apart from Muzaffarpur, two buses will run from Motihari in Champaran and one from Bettiah, which will run for Tata via Muzaffarpur. This train originates from Gorakhpur, thereby providing limited number of seats for people from North Bihar. There is a long waiting list. Passengers will be benefited by the operation of buses.
