Jawan dies after being shot by his own service rifle in Bokaro Police Line

                                  

The jawan (soldier) was shot dead on Sunday night at 9 pm in Bokaro police line. The deceased has been identified as Sushil Dwivedi. Dhanbad resident Shashil was shot in the chest with a service rifle in the barracks of Police Lines. The bullet went out piercing his heart. A shell has been recovered from the spot. It is not yet known whether it was a suicide or an accidental shot. It is being verified.

SP Chandan Jha handed over the responsibility of investigation to two DSPs

After preliminary investigation on the spot, SP Chandan Jha has entrusted two DSPs to investigate. After the incident, there was chaos in the police line. Fellow jawans and majors took him to BG Hospital. But the doctors declared him brought dead after preliminary examination. After receiving the information, SP Chandan Kumar Jha, District President of Police Men's Association Subhash Shukla reached the spot and inquired about the matter. The relatives of the deceased jawan have been informed about the incident.
