JioPhone Next is ready to go on sale in India from today. Reliance's much-awaited budget-friendly smartphone aims to bring 4G connectivity to the majority of Indians who are still unable to access the network.

JioPhone Next is the result of a joint venture between Reliance and Google and runs on Pragati OS, a customized version of Android designed for Indian users. Customers wishing to buy JioPhone Next can buy it from retail stores across the country.

However, Reliance is urging customers to register their interest in the device on the company's official website before heading to the store.
