Memorandum of Understanding against the interests of workers
AKB NEWS: Bokaro: On the call of the Steel Workers Federation of India, Ispat Mazdoor Morcha (CITU) staged a sit-in near Sector-4 Gandhi Chowk on Tuesday against the Memorandum of Understanding against the workers. Union leaders and workers present during this paid tribute to former general secretary Shaheed Yadav Prasad. Joint General Secretary BD Prasad said that the memorandum of understanding given by some unions suddenly on the night of 22 October is against the interests of the workers.
This is the first time in the 50-year history of the NSS that some unions under the influence of the management have taken such an anti-worker step. SAIL will make full payment to senior officers from January 1, 2017, without any conditions. The management makes a net profit of 2000 crores per year with the help of workers, but the management writes that a committee will be formed to discuss the dues.
He said that in the last wage review, a commission was set up for workers' pensions and HRB, but the impact of the commission is known to the employees. This time also it is just a conspiracy to abduct the outstanding. The date of the strike will be decided in the Federation of Steel Workers of India CITU meeting on November 19. All the workers of SAIL are ready to join the movement.
The program was led by KN Singh. Present were BN Mishra, Shashikant Sinha, BD Ram, RK Gorai, Anil Singh, PR Sahu, SL Gupta, Pawan Kumar, Kamlesh Ram, MK Singh, Umesh Prasad, Mahesh Prasad Singh, Brijmohan Prasad, RKP Verma, Shankar Poddar, etc., On occasion.
