Bermo: By organizing a camp in the State Tax Office, Phusro, lawyers, CAs, and businessmen were informed about JPT (Jharkhand Professional Tax). Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Kaushal Kumar said that there is a need to involve more and more people in JPT. Those who have not yet registered themselves can register themselves by submitting the necessary documents in the office by December 15. JPT's nodal officer Ashutosh Kumar told that those who have already registered will also have to join JPT by getting migration.

Told that this act is in force in the state from January 30, 2012. Revising this notification has been issued in June 2020. In this, those persons registered or registered under GST with effect from July 2017 whose annual sales are more than five lakhs, have to pay professional tax.

Told that those whose annual sales are between five lakh to 10 lakh, one thousand rupees per year, while 10 to 25 lakh people get 1500 rupees, 25 lakh to 40 lakh rupees two thousand and those above 40 lakh rupees 2500 rupees professional. Have to pay tax. He said that by updating the departmental website, the process of professional tax-related registration, payment, and return filing has been simplified further. The problem which came earlier on the departmental website has also been removed.

Told that payment of professional tax can also be done online. Let us inform you that about three thousand businessmen are registered in Jharkhand Professional Tax in Bermo Circle Office. At the same time, 150 new people have registered in JPT. Many people including State Tax Officer Sangeeta Surin, Advocate Manoj Kumar Singh, Vimlesh Kumar Singh, Bhudev Bhushan, CA Sumit Bansal, Umesh Kumar, Principal Clerk Manoj Kumar, Data Operator Shravan Kumar, Narayan Mahato, businessman Dinesh Singh were present on the occasion.
