The inaugural program of Deoghar AIIMS OPD on 26th June has been postponed. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey wanted to be physically present at the event. But Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri was adamant on giving him virtual entry. In the midst of this controversy, the Union Health Ministry postponed the inauguration of Deoghar AIIMS OPD.

The Economic Adviser of the Union Health Ministry, Nilambuj Sharan, said in a letter sent to the Secretary to the CM on Thursday that the inauguration of the OPD of Deoghar AIIMS on June 26 has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons. Nilambuj Sharan has also sent this letter to the Chief Secretary of the state including MP Nishikant and the Executive Director of AIIMS Deoghar. It is worth mentioning that Sharan had said in a letter sent to Dr. Saurabh Varshe, Executive Director of AIIMS Deoghar on Thursday that all the members of the institute and three MPs of Santhal should be invited to come.

The first MP had written – I will be present only then the program will happen.

On Wednesday night, Nishikant Dubey wrote on social media – DC of Deoghar is stopping him from going to the OPD of Deoghar AIIMS on 26th June, which is a priceless gift of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Deoghar DC sacked.

After some time he wrote again – Hemant Soren is having trouble with the inclusion of my body in the inaugural program of AIIMS. His order is that I should not stay in Deoghar. Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has decided that if I am present, the inauguration will take place, otherwise the program will be cancelled.

The DC stood firm on his point that he would not be allowed to be physically present.

Deoghar DC Manjunath Bhajantri stuck to his point. Without naming Nishikant Dubey in the online press conference on Thursday, it would be wrong to say that no particular person will be allowed to participate in this inaugural program. MPs can also attend the online inauguration program through virtual medium. Be it the people of administration or anyone else, we all follow the COVID guidelines like a responsible citizen. This is the responsibility of all of us. Keeping these in mind, it has been decided that it will be inaugurated in a virtual way.

MP said - Now Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will come to Deoghar and inaugurate

Meanwhile, the program was canceled on Thursday evening. After the postponement of the inauguration program, MP Dubey wrote in social media – Now Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan himself will inaugurate AIIMS by coming to Deoghar. He alleged that Chief Minister Hemant Soren prevented Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan from visiting Deoghar twice. The Center has tolerated this humiliation of the people of Jharkhand. This AIIMS is an invaluable gift of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Tell the Chief Minister DC not to use bad mentality and such words.

Inauguration was just ceremonial, OPD is already underway

Deoghar AIIMS has started OPD service at Devipur Community Health Center in March itself. At present 40 doctors have been deployed in the OPD, who are giving medical advice to the patients. At present, OPD service is being provided here on Mondays and Fridays.

This OPD service was started in the presence of Deoghar DC and AIIMS Director. However, it was not formally inaugurated. Now it has to be formally inaugurated. On which there was a dispute and this program also had to be postponed. However, this is not going to affect the treatment of people. Because the treatment is already going on.
