AKB NEWS: Bokaro- In Sector 9 of Bokaro, a meeting of the people of various displaced movements of the district was held on Sunday. Umakant Rajak, former MLA of Chandankyari from AJSU and Yogeshwar Mahto Batul, former MLA of BJP Bermo were mainly present in this meeting. Actually, this meeting was held in protest against the Bokaro cell giving notice to vacate 19 villages.

Former Bermo MLA Yogeshwar Mahato Batul says that SAIL acquired 34,700 acres of land, of which half the land is still vacant. This vacant land is the land inside the 19 displaced villages, apart from the land of the township in which people are living illegally. There is no plan to do anything on these lands by the SAIL management, so it was decided in this meeting that the land should be returned to the ryot as per the Land Act.

Along with this, Yogeshwar Mahto Batul said that not a single village will be vacant. SAIL management and the government should first implement the plan and plan made regarding these lands, after that we will consider what we will do, the villagers said that till this is not done by SAIL and the government, even 1 inch of land Will not give or allow the cell to work.

People gathered in the meeting say that when the displaced people of this area were being rehabilitated decades ago, the state was not separated. At the same time, people say that the then Bihar government had assured then that the fourth class job would be absolutely reserved and we displaced in the second and third class would be given priority.

The villagers have a problem that the government promise has not been implemented till date. People say that till date the compensation of some displaced people is pending, which is pending in the High Court and has been going on for a long time. People also said that even after 50 years in the resettlement area, even after 50 years, the family settled there is not getting adequate facility, so the SAIL management should first return the raiyat of the vacant land inside the displaced village and inside the township.
