Monsoon session from today: Government will shower 17 new bills; Opposition Corona, farmers ready to roar over compulsory defense service bill
The monsoon session of Parliament will begin from Monday. There will be 20 meetings in this first session to be held after the second wave of Corona. It is likely to run till August 13. The government is bringing 17 new bills in this session. She will try her best to pass them. At the same time, the opposition is also preparing to surround the government with the ordinance declaring farmers' strike, corona and defense services a crime.
More than 200 employees including 444 members of Lok Sabha and 218 members of Rajya Sabha have been vaccinated before this session. Apart from this, the protocol related to Corona will be strictly followed during the session as well.
After the recent expansion of the Union Council of Ministers, the first examination of new ministers will be held in this session. In this, Dharmendra Pradhan will face opposition on the issue of education, Mansukh Mandaviya on health, Hardeep Singh Puri on petroleum prices. On the other hand, on issues related to social media, Anurag Thakur has to prepare to answer the complicated questions as soon as he takes over the new ministry.

According to the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, two of the 17 bills being brought in this session are to be replaced with ordinances. That is, 15 bills are new. While two have been implemented through ordinances. Six bills are already pending in Parliament. Altogether 23 Bills have been listed for consideration and passing.
Opposition's preparation
The opposition is ready to surround the government on the ordinance declaring farmers' strike, corona and defense services a crime. There is also a preparation to bring the Center under question on population policy in Assam and UP. The government may face heavy opposition over the bill to replace the Compulsory Defense Services Ordinance.
RSS-affiliated Bharatiya Rakshak Mazdoor Sangh is also opposing it. There is a provision to declare strike, lockout etc. in defense establishments as an offense in the bill. One year jail and 10 thousand rupees for instigating the strike. Fine will have to be paid.
Farmers' preparation
Farmers, who have been protesting for months against the three central agricultural laws, will also protest during the monsoon session. Shiv Kumar Kakka, the national president of the Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Mahasangh, said that 200 farmers will go to Parliament from the Singhu border. The protest will be peaceful.
All farmers will be given badges for identification. Their Aadhaar and mobile numbers have also been given to the police. The police had urged the farmers to reduce the number of protesting farmers. But the peasant leaders refused. The timing of the dharna will be decided after the police's reply on Monday.
Representatives of 33 parties were present in the all-party meeting
A day before the start of the monsoon session, the central government has called an all-party meeting. Leaders of 33 political parties including Prime Minister Narendra Modi were present in this. In the meeting, the Prime Minister said, "Suggestions of people's representatives, especially the opposition, encourage debate."
