Uproar of sanitation workers, three hours imprisoned to Municipal Corporation

          

Chas: Near the main gate of the Municipal Corporation office, the sanitation workers staged a sit-in for the payment of dues of 70 colleagues, ESI and other demands, due to which the work of the office remained closed for three hours. In view of the anger of the cleaning workers, the employees of the Municipal Corporation and the common people who reached the office remained locked inside. 

Safai Karamcharis have threatened to go on an indefinite strike if their demands are not met, after which Additional Municipal Commissioner Anil Kumar Singh spoke to the sanitation workers and asked them to return to work, but the sanitation workers remained adamant on their demands.

 Safai Karmi Mohan Hadi said that the Municipal Corporation is doing injustice to the sanitation workers. For a year, they have been agitating for their demands. Meetings have also been held with officials several times, but the result is still nil. He said that the dharna would continue for their demands. After this, if the demands are not considered, then there will be a fierce agitation from Monday. Sanitation workers are not being treated properly. Dozens of sanitation workers were present on this occasion.
