Monday Mega Story: From chopping off women's noses to removing their eyes; The full story of the Sharia law that the Taliban uses for their cruelty
It was a summer morning in 1999. Thanks Barakzai, who lives in Kabul, felt a fever. At that time Afghanistan was ruled by Taliban. According to their rules, no woman could leave the house without a mahram, that is, a male guardian. Barakzai's husband had gone to work and had no son.
Barakzai removed his two-year-old daughter's hair from her head and made her his mahram by wearing boyish clothes. He himself wore a blue burqa with netted eyes from head to toe. As she was returning after showing the doctor, she was stopped by Taliban fighters on the way.
One of them started lashing Barkzai without saying anything. She was beaten till she fell to the ground. Taking a sip of pain and humiliation, she stood up crying. He took his daughter's hand and went back to the house.
Barakzai's ordeal is just a hallmark of the Taliban's tyranny. Tales of the Taliban's brutality on girls and women are spread everywhere. Next we are going to show you three pictures and a video. These scenes and stories can blow your mind. So don't scroll down if you are weak hearted.
You saw three pictures and one video. All of these have two things in common. First, all these tales belong to the Talibani regime. Second, the morsel of cruelty in all is women.
We're going to investigate the brutality and second-class treatment of women in the Taliban's thinking here. Since Taliban is governed by Sharia laws, we will put forward 5 things related to it…
- What is Sharia and where did it originate?
- What type of crime is mentioned in Sharia?
- What is the cruelty of women under Taliban rule?
- Which Countries Follow Sharia Laws?
- Why Taliban so tough and some countries soft?
Taliban's Sharia
The Taliban use Hudud punishments even today, crossing the limits of brutality. They follow the extreme version of Sharia.
Taliban means student in Pashto. Madrasas have played a major role in the creation of Taliban. In the 1990s, these madrassas were funded by Saudi Arabia. From there also came the ideology of Sharia. With the passage of time the fundamentalist thinking of the Taliban deepened.
The Taliban came to power in Afghanistan since 1996. Sharia law came into force in the country. Public punishment became common. Music, TV and video were banned. The person who did not offer prayers for five times or shaved his beard was beaten up in public.
At the beginning of this article, we narrated the story of Thanks Barakzai. Thank you to photojournalist Lynsey Addario that those who oppress women themselves do not know why they are doing this. They beat, beat, insult. This makes them happy, but they do not know the reason for this oppression.
