Industrial Clusters in Jharkhand: The Industries Department of Jharkhand has proposed to the Center to develop an industrial cluster on the vacant land of Steel Authority of India (SAIL), Bokaro. The Center has advised the concerned parties to consult in this regard.

If all goes well, the biggest industrial area of ​​the state will be developed in Jharkhand. Bokaro-based Steel Authority of India has planned to develop this industrial cluster on 1000 acres of vacant land. For this a proposal has been prepared under the Kolkata-Amritsar Industrial Corridor Development Plan.

According to the report, the Industries Department has proposed to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade to set up an industrial area on vacant land in the SAIL premises of Bokaro. In such a situation, if this proposal is approved, then the way will be opened to develop the country's largest industrial cluster in Jharkhand.

The nature of the industrial area will be decided in the meeting

The Industries Department of Jharkhand will soon hold a meeting with the officials of Bokaro Steel Plant in this regard, in which efforts will be made to form a formal consensus on the establishment of the industrial cluster. Along with this, the nature of the industrial area will also be decided. Bokaro SAIL's campus is spread over 3300 acres. 

A large part of it is still lying vacant. 1000 acres of land will be marked in the vacant area itself. If this cluster is formed, it will be the largest industrial area of ​​the state.

Industrial corridor to be built in 7 states

Let us inform that in the year 2017, it was agreed to make a cluster of Kolkata-Amritsar corridor in Barhi. Inspection of land was also done for the construction of industrial corridor. Under the Central Industrial Corridor Plan, Kajra, Kedarut, Dumardih, Katiun, Khairon and Khodahar villages, including Devchanda of Barhi, together with the villages of Kajra, Khairon and Khodahar, there was talk of building an industrial corridor in 2500 acres of land, but most of the people of Devchanda village opposed it. 

According to the central government, industrial corridors are to be built in 7 states including Jharkhand from Amritsar to Kolkata. These include Bokaro. Small and big integrated manufacturing clusters will be created in the Industrial Corridor.
