Jharkhand: 5000 employees of National Health Mission are on strike from today, angry over the removal of State Program Manager
National Health Mission (NHM), Jharkhand's state program manager Jwala Prasad's contract termination of the contract, NHM workers across the state will be on an indefinite strike from Tuesday. Earlier in Ranchi, NHM personnel boycotted the work on Monday.
The employees said that they will remain on strike till the dismissal of Jwala Prasad is not withdrawn. Information about going on indefinite strike from Tuesday has been given to MD Bhuvnesh Pratap Singh, in-charge of NHM.
Let us inform that 14 thousand employees are working on contract under NHM in the state. In which 9000 ANM is GNM. The ANM/GNM union has not informed about going on strike yet. That is, the remaining 5000 employees of the state will be on strike from Tuesday.
Major demands of personnel
- The dismissal of Jwala Prasad should be withdrawn.
- To curb the misbehavior and baseless allegations by higher officials.
- Executive and gazetted holidays should be restored along with Saturday and Sunday holidays.
- Pre-determined HR policy to be implemented. Deduction of EPF should be done in the state head.
- Compensation leave should be given against the work done during the holidays from April 2020.
