MP said- Make breaker on roads to reduce speed

Bokaro: The meeting of the Road Safety Committee was held by MP PN Singh in the auditorium of the Collectorate on Tuesday. In the meeting, the MP, while reviewing sequentially, said that road safety is a matter directly related to the lives of the people. Therefore, all necessary efforts should be made to prevent accidents. To curb road accidents, the MP asked to make breakers from rural roads and minor roads as per the requirement before the point of connection with the main road.

This will help control the speed of the vehicles. In the event of an accident, there will be minimal damage. The MP directed the Transport and Police Department to run a campaign regarding overload, helmet, drunk, and drive. The District Transport Officer was asked to conduct regular check-up campaigns and ensure action under the rules. At the same time, after the road accident, he was also asked to recommend the cancellation of the driving license of the driver.

The MP talked about running regular awareness programs during prayer meetings in schools for the awareness of the students. Directed the officials of National Highway to construct foot over bridges or underpasses for the passers-by at the busiest square intersections and densely populated areas like Siwandih, Jodhadih More, etc. of National State Road No. 23 and 32.

In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary asked to take action after checking the Standard Marking (ISI) of the helmet during the investigation. He directed the police and the transport department to take strict action against those selling ISI helmets on the roadside or in the shops.

Deputy Development Commissioner Jaikishore Prasad, Additional Municipal Commissioner Chas Anil Kumar, Sub-Divisional Officer Chas Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, Sub-Divisional Officer Bermo Anant Kumar, District Transport Officer Sanjeev Kumar, District Education Officer Neelam Aileen Toppo, District Public Relations Officer Rahul Bharti, Traffic DSP Poonam Miz, Assistant Public Relations Officer Avinash Kumar, representatives of Excise Department, Road Construction Department, Rural Works Department, etc., members of Road Safety Committee, etc. were present.
