An encounter took place between PLFI militants and the police on Saturday near Makhamandro Bazar of Ratu police station area. In this encounter, the infamous PLFI terrorist Chhotu Lohra was injured by police bullets. The bullet had gone out touching his body. The injured militant was later arrested by the police. He has been admitted to the prison ward of RIMS. At the same time, Krishna Yadav alias Sultan, the subzonal commander of PLFI involved in the encounter, fled from the spot.

It is being told that Chhotu is very close to Sultan. Police also recovered a pistol from the spot. Ranchi and Latehar police are preparing for interrogation of arrested terrorist Chhotu. At the same time, after the arrest of Chhotu, the police have started raids in the surrounding areas of Ranchi. The police suspect that the terrorists had gathered in Ratu to carry out some major incident. Here, local people say that only one gunshot was heard at the encounter site.

Latehar police reached Ratu chasing Sultan

Latehar Police got information that PLFI Sub Zonal Commander Krishna Yadav alias Sultan was going from Lohardaga towards Ranchi with one of his companions. On the basis of Gupta's information, a team of Latehar SP Anjani Anjan was formed for the raids. The team formed to nab both the terrorists who came out of Latehar.

During this, the police was seeing how many more people were with the two terrorists. Meanwhile, Latehar police got information that both the terrorists are in the Ratu area. Ranchi Police was contacted. Ranchi police also became alert. Sultan along with his companion had stopped for tea at the hotel near Makhmandro market at 11.30 am on Saturday. Then the police team also reached there. When the militants caught sight of the police, they started running. When the police chased, both of them took out their weapons.

During this, there was firing from the police side, in which one of the militants got shot and fell on the spot. However, the Sultan managed to escape. The right hand of the injured is said to be that of Chhotu Lohra Sultan.

Raids continue with Ranchi Police

According to the information, after absconding from Hazrat, Sultan is continuously active in the organization. In recent times, he has also carried out two incidents of arson along with Chhotu Lohra. At present, Latehar Police is raiding its places including Ranchi.

Chhotu kept running for a kilometer after being shot

As soon as the information was received, the Ranchi Police had put a complete siege to nab the PLFI militants. According to eyewitnesses, when the Latehar police reached Makhmandro market in plain clothes at eleven o'clock in the day, the militants started running away on seeing them. While fleeing, both the militants were threatening the passersby by waving weapons. Both the terrorists ran towards the ground. Latehar and Ranchi police ran from behind. 

The police asked both of them to surrender, but both kept running in the field. In this sequence, the police opened fire. Militant Chhotu Lohra was shot in this. Even after getting injured, Chhotu kept running. After running away about a kilometer away, policemen already present near Maltoti village of Mandar caught him. At the same time, the Sultan fled by choosing another route.

Terrorists came to meet wife

Militant Chhotu Lohra has taken a rented house in Makhmando Bazar. In that house, he has kept his wife Reshma Devi and mother-in-law, Anju Devi. He often used to come to meet her at Makhmando Bazar. Family members say that they have been living in a rented house for three years. Chotu also stays with them.

Krishna is active in these areas

Krishna's activity has been in Khalari, Budhmu, Chanho, Chatra's Piparwar, Latehar's Tandwa, Chandwa-Balumath in Ranchi. Krishna had carried out several scams to collect levy from the coal traders.

Scooty number was installed in the bike

The police have seized a bike from the farm located in Makhmandro. Police suspect that both the terrorists had come on the same bike. When the police checked the number of the seized bike, it was found that the militants were driving it by putting the number of Scooty in it. ,

Chaos in Belangi village

There was chaos in the Belangi village of Ratu when the bullets started firing. Hearing the sound of bullets, people started running here and there. Shops around the hotel remained closed. Meanwhile, the police team caught the injured Chotu after being shot. The police immediately took him with them.

Ranchi police caught, had absconded from Latehar

PLFI Subzonal Commander Krishna Yadav alias Sultan Balumath, operating in the coal sector of four districts, including Ranchi, Jharkhand, had escaped from the police station on the morning of 23 March. The Balumath police had taken Krishna on remand for two days. He was to be sent to Ranchi jail after his remand period ended on March 23, but he escaped.
