Survey 2021: Jharkhand number one across the country in urban cleanliness, President honored

President Ram Nath Kovind honored Jharkhand as the top state in the category of states in the cleanliness survey 2021 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. On this occasion, Secretary Urban Development and Housing Department Vinay Kumar Choubey received the honor on behalf of the State Government. Amit Kumar was accompanied by the Director of the State Urban Development Agency.

In the Swachhta Survekshan 2021, Jharkhand has been awarded the best performance in the category of states having 100 urban bodies, along with some cities that have also been awarded in different categories. Jamshedpur has been ranked second among the cities with a population of 3-10 lakhs in the country for the Safai Mitra Safety Challenge.

Jugsalai has been awarded the Best City Award for Citizen Feedback in Eastern Region with a population of 25-50 thousand. Similarly, Jamshedpur of Jharkhand has got a 3-star rating in garbage 3-star rating.

On the success of Jharkhand in the field of cleanliness, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has congratulated and congratulated the citizens and sanitation workers living in the urban bodies of the state. The Chief Minister has said that Jharkhand has got this honor due to the joint efforts of all and this honor is a matter of pride for the citizens of the state. At the same time, the Chief Secretary of the state Sukhdev Singh has also congratulated the people of the state and the officers and employees of the Urban Development Department.
