AKB NEWS - Bokaro: To settle the displaced families of Bokaro Steel Plant, the Directorate of Project Land and Rehabilitation is running hotels, schools, and nursing homes by occupying several undisplaced lands in the resettlement areas acquired by Bokaro.

Hundreds of displaced people have built houses by encroaching more than the allotted land, while many displaced people have occupied the land by building boundary walls in resettlement areas. In this regard, dozens of displaced people have applied to Deputy Commissioner Bokaro and demanded that the resettlement areas be made encroachment-free. After receiving the application of the displaced, the DPLR Director has made up his mind to survey the resettlement areas again.

In a few days, notice will be given to the encroachers of the land in the resettlement areas so that the resettlement areas can be beautified.

The displaced say that starting the survey of resettlement areas again is commendable work. People have occupied several acres of DPLR land. At the same time, many displaced are not getting possession of the allotted land.

In such a situation, the displaced are quite angry. The DPLR will give one week's time from the notice to the encroachers so that the encroachers can remove the encroachments themselves.
