AKB NEWS:- Gram Sabha was organized on Saturday for setting up of 1500 MW pump storage plant in Lugu Pahar area by DVC in the presence of SDM of Bermo subdivision Anant Kumar in Tulbul Panchayat Bhawan under Gomia block of Bokaro, Jharkhand. The SDM said that the proposed pump storage plant at Lugu Pahar is one of the ambitious plans of DVC. Electricity is an important source for the all-around development of the state. With the grace of Lugu Baba, DVC is going to set up a 1500 MW Pumped Storage Plant in Lugu-Pahar and foothills Pindra and Kaira Waterfall area. Survey work is going on for this. The establishment of the plant will pave the way for the development of the area. Employment opportunities will be available.

The SDM said that neither the raiyat land of any person is being taken nor there will be any kind of displacement problem in the establishment of the plant. If any villager is using GM land then he will be given a forest lease. The SDM talked about cooperation in setting up plants for the development of the region, the state, and the country. Survey work will be started from Monday in areas like Kaira Falls etc. In the Gram Sabha, after the arrival of fewer villagers from the Kaira Jharna, Pindra, and Tuti Jharna areas, they talked about holding the next meeting in Pindra area.

AK Tiwari, an officer associated with the implementation of the CSR scheme of DVC, said that along with the operation of the project, various schemes, education, road, women tailoring, embroidery, weaving training, I.T. According to the need of youth, water, etc., schemes including electricity, medicine will be implemented on the ground. Many proposals were also made by the villagers, the main one being employment. CO Mr. Topno asked everyone to cooperate in setting up the project. On this occasion Fikru Sao, Sunil Manjhi, Sushil Manjhi, Prakash Soren, Dhaniram Besra, Darbari Manjhi, Rajendra Saw, Pachu Prajapati, CI Lal Mohan Das, employee Janaki Kushwaha, etc. were present.

In the Gram Sabha, the Divisional Engineer Mr. Singh said that a dam would be built at a distance of five hundred meters from the Lugu Pahar temple. This will not cause any damage to the temple complex but will lead to the development of electricity, roads, and water in the area. Said that two small dams are to be built in less land, in which one will be built on the mountain and the other at the foot of the mountain. If the land of any villager is affected, then the benefit will be given to it as per the provision of the government.

 After the survey is completed, the project will be sent to the central government for approval only after it is passed in the Gram Sabha. On this occasion, Gomia Zone's CO Sandeep Anurag Topno, DVC Kolkata Chief Engineer Subroto Mandal, Deputy Chief Engineer Rajesh Biswas, Senior Divisional Civil Department Engineer Amit Kumar Singh, CSR Officer AK Tiwari, and outgoing Panchayat Pradhan Jaleshwar Hansda were present.
