AKB NEWS: Bokaro: Shooting competition is being organized after a long time due to Corona. The practice of firing has long been abandoned. In such a situation, such competition will give a better chance to the soldiers and officers to rehearse. Such competitions give a better opportunity to jawans and officers to display their firing proficiency. This also boosts their morale. This is to say of Coal Sector DIG Kanhaiya Lal Mayur Patel. He was addressing the Deputy Inspector General of Police to the jawans present in the opening ceremony of the 19th Jharkhand Armed Police Regional Shooting Competition. 

He said that teams from ZAP and IRB are participating in this competition. A total of 16 teams are participating in this three-day tournament. There are 222 participants in these 16 teams. Firing is to be done from .303 Rifle, 7.62 SLR, 5.56 INSAS, AK-47 Rifle, Revolver, Pistol, and Carbine.


JAP Commandant Ashwini Kumar Sinha, SP Chandan Kumar Jha, Traffic DSP Poonam Miz, ZAP Four DSP Vinod Kumar Mahato, and other officers were present in the program. The best performers in this competition will participate in the state-level competition. District police teams across the state have also organized such competitions in their respective ranges. The selected participants in this competition will play with the best performers on the range team. The best performer in both teams will be part of the state-level team. The state team will participate in the national-level competition. Here are the results of the first day:


In the rifle competition, Kundan Kumar Rai of Zap Five secured the first position in the 100-yard standing position. He has got 73 marks. Amar Thapa of ZAP One came second. He has got 50 marks. In third place was Zap Five's beaver Chandra Ketu. He got 45 marks. In the 200 yards Neelig competition, Gautam Kumar of Zap Five secured the first position by scoring 86 marks. Rajesh Kumar Das of ZAP 5 secured the second position. He got 84 marks. Dharmendra of SISF stood third with 81 points.
