China's bullet train near India's border: China runs first electric bullet train in Tibet, just 119 km away from Arunachal Pradesh border

Gradually becoming a global power, China is becoming a big threat to the world as well as India. China on Friday launched the first electric bullet train in occupied Tibet. This train will run from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, to Niangchi. This is an alert for India, as Niangchi city is just 119 km away from Arunachal Pradesh border (Mechuka).

China's electric bullet train will travel up to 435.5 km. It has been inaugurated to commemorate 100 years of Communist Party. Its top speed is 160 kmph. For this only one line has been inserted. The train will stop at 9 stations, including Lhasa, Shannan and Niangchi stations. Comparing the time taken to travel from Lhasa to Niangchi by road, the bullet train will reach around 1.5 hours ahead of time. Apart from this, going from Shannan to Niangchi will also take less than 2 hours.

Train will cross Brahmaputra river 16 times

The train will pass through 47 tunnels and 121 bridges. Apart from this, this train will cross the Brahmaputra river 16 times. If the tunnel and bridge distances are added, it will be 75 percent of the total distance of the railway line. This train is capable of carrying a weight of up to 10 million tonnes. China hopes that this will not only facilitate people to travel, but will also increase trade.

This is China's second rail project in Tibet. With this, China has launched the first railway project from Qinghai to Lhasa. In November, Chinese President Xi Jinping outlined his vision for laying a railway line in Tibet. He had said that by doing this our border will become stronger.

  • Northern and Southern Areas of Pangong Lake: In February 2021 both India and China agreed to withdraw from this area. China said that it would be behind Finger 8 and India said that it would not go beyond Finger 4 i.e. Dhansingh Thapa post.

  • Gogra: Here is the 17-A i.e. Sog Salu Point. At present, the soldiers of India and China are face to face here. Many soldiers of India are still present at this place. India is asking China to go back two and a half to three kilometers from this area, but China is not ready for this.
