Pakistan upset over Kashmir: Foreign Minister Qureshi said - drama of Modi's meeting with Kashmiri leaders

I am disturbed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with the leaders of Kashmir. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has described it as a drama and an exercise of public relations. Qureshi said- Nothing is going to be achieved from the meeting that Modi has held on Thursday.

Modi held an important meeting with Kashmiri leaders on Thursday. All the big leaders of Kashmir took part in this. In the meeting that lasted for three hours, the Prime Minister listened carefully to the words of these leaders and then kept his point.

Pakistan's response

Qureshi answered questions on the meeting held in New Delhi at a press conference on Friday. Said- According to me this meeting was nothing more than a drama. In short, it was a public relations exercise. But, nothing is going to be gained from these things. It is a failed and futile exercise, because nothing is going to be gained from such things.

Kashmiris want identity

Qureshi said- Kashmiris are still searching for their identity. They want freedom and autonomy. They also need protection and the people of India will never accept the population they are trying to convert. Kashmiri leaders have already made it clear that the Indian government will have to roll back the steps taken on 5 August 2019. Article 370 and Article 35A have to be restored. Kashmir will have to be given statehood again. In the meeting with Modi, no concrete answer or assurance was given about when statehood would be restored to these leaders.

NSA Moeed Yusuf also said:

On the other hand, Pakistan's NSA Moeed Yusuf said in an interview given to 'Geo News' - Called and talked to the leaders of Kashmir so that they could be persuaded. There the common people do not support India. Some leaders have even said that we should talk to Pakistan. Why is India delimiting there? If India gives a roadmap, we will consider talks. We are concerned about the situation in Afghanistan. We will suffer the most. The US didn't even tell us when they would return from Afghanistan. If Pakistan is made a scapegoat then the answer will definitely come.

If you don't talk to Imran, don't do Biden.

It's been more than five months since Joe Biden came to power, but he hasn't even called Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan. On the question asked about this, Yusuf said – If Biden does not call Imran, then do not. Who is sitting here waiting for them? If you want to talk, then do it on mutual relations. Only Afghanistan will not be talked about. Don't waste your time asking for Aadhaar. India is spreading terrorism. India is talking to the Afghan Taliban.

Leaders of 8 parties had attended

On Thursday, the Prime Minister held a meeting on Jammu and Kashmir with 14 leaders of 8 parties for about 3 hours. In this meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence, Modi gave a message that the distance from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi and Dil will be reduced. He had also talked about holding assembly elections immediately after the delimitation and asked the leaders to be involved in this process.

Senior leaders of Gupkar Alliance including former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti were also present in the meeting. Apart from these, Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Jitendra Singh and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad also attended the meeting.
