SAIL: Good news for the contract workers of Bokaro Steel Plant! pay scale will increase

 

Bokaro Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) Bokaro Steel Plant has decided to increase the dearness allowance of the contract workers working here. The new rate will be effective from October 1, 2021. About 25 thousand contract workers working in the company will be benefited by the decision of the management.

 Not only this, different grades have been fixed for the determination of wages of workers. In this, the policy of paying separate amount to A category and General category has been fixed.

It is to be known that in BSL there is a provision to increase the VDA of contract workers in April and October every year. In this half year, the dearness allowance of contract workers is being increased due to increase in the prices of other daily items including food items. After the order is issued by the state government in this regard, the contract labor cell of BSL will start the process of payment of dearness allowance to the workers.

After the increase, the amount of VDA item will be: After increasing the VDA of contract workers in Bokaro Steel Plant, total unskilled workers of general category will get Rs 52.52 per day, semi-skilled workers Rs 54.26, skilled workers Rs 73.43 and ultra-skilled workers. 98.24 is planned to be paid to the skilled worker. 

On the other hand, if we talk about A category, then there is a possibility of getting Rs 980.57 for unskilled worker, Rs 1,054.80 for semi-skilled worker, Rs 1385.35 for skilled worker and Rs 1598.81 for highly skilled worker.
