Common citizens should be aware of road safety: Tiwari
Bokaro: Ravindra Tiwari, a member of the National Road Safety Council (Ministry of Road Transport and State), visited the district on Monday. He held a meeting with the officials related to road safety in Bokaro Council. Necessary guidelines were given in the meeting. Later talking to reporters, he said that the formation of the Road Safety Council has reduced road accidents. This shortage is also being seen in the Bokaro district.
In the review meeting, it came to the fore that road accidents are more frequent near Bari Cooperative located at district headquarters. All precautionary steps will be taken by the committee by declaring it as a black spot. Local people have also been made aware. Illegal clearance of the National Highway has been repeatedly blocked by the administration. Despite this, the local people cut the pipe guards on both sides of the National Highway. Accidents are more due to illegal entry and exit on the road. In such a situation, local people are also victims of accidents, yet they are not cooperating with the district administration.
There is a need to create awareness among the general public regarding road safety. It has to be understood that the administration committee or council is taking any step for the safety of the common people. People should cooperate with the administration. Said that Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has considered the safety of the people walking on the road more important than road construction. For this, road safety councils have been constituted at the national level and road safety committees in all districts.
He said that we can reduce road accidents only by following the traffic rules with 100 percent caution. This requires collective effort. Told that instructions have also been given to honor those who took the injured to the hospital. So that others can be inspired by it. Assistant Public Relations Officer Avinash Kumar was present on the occasion.
